• Let's begin with what was invaluable at your wedding... Both our families and friends all love dancing, therefore it was essential for us to possess a live band in the evening reception to obtain everyone around the dance floor. They had all of the guests up dancing and we've had countless comments since about how exactly good these were.

How have you personalized your wedding reception?

We copied a friend's idea for the favors and donated to two charities near to our heart; The Down Syndrome Association and Christie's. We bought pins from both charities for the guests who have been able to pin those to their outfits. Plus, we borrowed a concept from Instagram and set our twist onto it; we'd seen heart-shaped name tags hanging in the chairs and loved the concept but instead of hearts we'd navy blue hexagons coupled with the names designed in gold to help keep with the theme.

    What colors have you chosen?

We went for a deep blue, burgundy, and gold color palette. The colors appeared to work perfectly using the time of year when it comes to clothing and flowers, and we used gold accents within the invites, table plans, flower stands, and bridesmaids' jewelry to create it all together.

Now let's discuss that gorgeous dress of yours! Did you know what type of dress you had been looking for?

I knew I wanted long sleeve wedding dresses, as I didn't think I would suit a strapless style. I was relatively available to try on most types of dresses but were built with a simple yet classy style in your mind. My dress would be feeltimes dresses. I found it at It would be a satin fitted dress with straps, cowl neck neckline along with a low back, with buttons right down to the bottom of a little train.

My shoes were gold peep-toe sandals from LK Bennett that I wore for many of the days, though I did possess some gold glitter flat pumps from Sonia Rykiel for dancing through the night.

I ensured that my hair and make-up complimented the type of the dress so went for any glam look with my hair down and bright red lips.

Anything else you want to share about your big day?

Flowers were a very important part of the day and I desired to make sure that the bouquet complimented the gown. Sarah and Abi from Ewer-Roberts did our flowers. I wanted natural but statement-style flowers. The time from the year worked well when it comes to the colors. I loved my bouquet, it would be a handed bouquet with trails and also the flowers contain roses, freedom and sweet avalanche, protea, black brassica, eucalyptus, waxflower, red trailing amaranths, ivy trails, viburnum berries, and enormous magnolia leaves.

    Any strategies for future brides?

Make sure you do not let it get too overwhelming, it's eventually said to be fun. We determined what our priorities were and centered on those first, and were also quite strict on our budget when it comes to not going through it with each element as possible quite easy to do this. Just remember together with your dress, hair, and make-up all done you'll feel millions of dollars! I didn't wish to take my dress off at the end of the night.
